Sketchbook rules I actually follow

Five tiny habits that keep my sketchbook full, messy and useful.

No precious pages

Rule one: the first page is always ugly on purpose. Once it is ruined, the rest of the book is free to be bad, which is where the good ideas hide.

The other rules are about time, not talent: ten minutes a day, one pen only, and never tear a page out.
